Two members of the LNQE, Prof. Dr. Boris Chichkov from the Institute of Quantum Optics and Prof. Dr. Fei Ding from the Institute of Solid State Physics, receive coveted funding awards from the European Research Council (ERC).
Boris Chichkov is honored with an ERC Advanced Grant. His research project addresses laser biofabrication of 3D multicellular tissue with vascular network. With the ERC Advanced Grants, the European Commission funds established top scientists with an outstanding scientific track record who want to open up new research areas.
Fei Ding recieves an ERC Consolidator Grant. His research project investigates synchronization in quantum networks. ERC Consolidator Grants support excellent promising scientists whose own independent research group is in the consolidation phase.
The funding amount of both projects together is more than 5 million Euros and the projects are funded for five years.
