Newest member in the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering is Prof. Dr. Georg Garnweitner.
The research group “Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites” investigates the fabrication, stabilization and application of nanoparticles and nanostructures. The nanoparticles are synthesized via “bottom-up” methods. In addition to the synthesis, the stabilization and functionalization of nanoparticles is a crucial issue for applications and thus is investigated in detail. Chemically tailored nanoparticles are deveoped for novel application.
