The second German-Russian Workshop "Solar fuel synthesis" was held from 10/05/2014 to 10/10/2014 in the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) at the Leibniz Universität Hannover in Germany. The international workshop was organized by Prof. Dr. Detlef Bahnemann, head of the working group "Photocatalysis and Nanotechnology" at the Institute for Technical Chemistry of Leibniz Universität Hannover and a member of the LNQE.
Thirty scientists from the National University of Sankt-Petersburg, Justus Liebig University Giessen, the National University of Mar del Plata, the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn, Bremen University, the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, the DECHEMA Research Institute and the Leibniz Universität Hannover discussed the latest research results in the field of nanotechnology and photocatalysis. Main focus was the development of potential nanomaterials for photocatalytic hydrogen production and for the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants.
