Female high school graduates inform themselves about nanotechnology at the LNQE

The Laboratory for Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) presented nanotechnology at the start of this year''s Niedersachsen-Technikum at Leibniz University Hannover. In a short lecture and subsequent laboratory tour, the guests were given insights into current nanotechnology research at Leibniz University Hannover. In conversation with the support of the Nanotechnology student council, the guests were informed first-hand about the Bachelor''s and Master''s degree courses in nanotechnology.

The Niedersachsen-Technikum is a new concept for attracting young female specialists to science and industry in the so-called MINT subjects. MINT stands for: Mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. It is aimed at young women who have completed their Abitur at a grammar school or a technical grammar school.
