The Niedersachsen-Technikum visited the Laboratory for Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) to learn about nanotechnology at Leibniz University Hannover. In a short lecture followed by a laboratory tour, the guests gained insights into transmission electron microscopy and microtechnology in the clean room. In conversation with the support of the Nanotechnology Student Council, the guests were given first-hand information about the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in nanotechnology.
The Niedersachsen-Technikum is a programme designed to show female school-leavers the fascination of degree programmes in science and technology and exciting areas of employment. It is aimed at young women who have graduated from Gymnasium or Fachgymnasium, are interested in a combination of hands-on experience and taster studies, and who wish to gain in-depth insights onto the areas of science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
