Prof. Bigall Becomes W3 Professor from February 1, 2018

Prof. Dr. Nadja Bigall

LNQE member stays in Hannover

Dr. Nadja Bigall has accepted the call for a W3 professorship for "Functional Nanostructures" at the Institute for Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Her research group and laboratories are located both in the LNQE research building and in the Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry. Her research group focuses on the production of shape-controlled nanocrystals and their assembly into functional materials with tailor-made optical, electrical, magnetic and catalytic properties.

Outstanding achievements of her previous scientific career were the establishment of a BMBF junior research group in the NanMatFutur competition 2013 and the acquisition of an ERC Starting Grant 2017. She was appointed to a W2 professorship at Leibniz Universität Hannover last October.

Congratulations from the LNQE!
