Signature of the letter of intent

Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Franz Renz, Institute for Coordination Chemistry at Leibniz University Hannover and long-standing member of the Laboratory for Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE), has ceremoniously signed a letter of intent for a new endowed professorship with the Landeshauptfrau of Lower Austria Johanna Mikl-Leitner and the Rector of TU Wien Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Schneider.

At the Hainburg educational campus in Austria, close collaboration between science, industry and start-ups is creating a focus on sustainability topics. With the new endowed professorship at TU Wien, Franz Renz will receive up to 15 positions, extensive start-up funds and funding for running costs to establish a new research team there on the topic of sustainable and future-proof energy storage solutions and their technical application with energy storage materials and, in particular, nanomaterials for hydrogen storage. Franz Renz will continue to work with the endowed professorship in Austria and at Leibniz University Hannover, according to the letter of intent.

Congratulations from the LNQE!
