"Quantum Valley Lower Saxony", as a newly founded initiative, is intended to rapidly advance basic research and industrial transfer. Lower Saxony's top research has good chances in the global race for quantum technologies. The first meeting of the steering committee took place yesterday evening in Hannover at the Ministry of Science and Culture.
The founding institutions of the new research association "Quantum Valley Lower Saxony" are Leibniz Universität Hannover, TU Braunschweig, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the Albert Einstein Institute of the Max Planck Society, the recently founded Institute of Satellite Geodesy and Inertial Sensor Technology of the German Aerospace Center (DLR-SI) and Sartorius AG.

The three speakers of the Quantum Alliance are Professor Andreas Waag (TU Braunschweig), Professor Piet Schmidt (PTB and LUH) and Professor Christian Ospelkaus (LUH). Professor Christian Ospelkaus is a member of the board of the LNQE.
