The Laboratory for Nano and Quantum Engineering welcomes two new members:
Prof. Dr. Fei Ding is a new professor at the Institute for Solid State Physics since September 2016. His scientific interests are strain related physics in nanostructures and nanophotonic devices, on-chip integration of quantum light sources, and frequency locked quantum light sources. At the same time as the new professorship, Professor Ding was awarded an ERC Starting Grand on "elementary quantum dot networks enabled by on-chip nano-optomechanical systems".
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Wicht is the Head of Mixed-Signal Circuits Group at the Insitute of Microelectronic Systems since April 2017. His research interests include the design of integrated circuits with focus on power management, gate drivers, energy efficiency and low-power.
