On June 13, 2024, a group of school pupils from the Colegio Aleman in Quito (Ecuador) visited the Laboratory for Nano and Quantum Engineering. The 15 pupils from class 10 have been in Hanover since the end of May as part of a student exchange program with the Humboldt School in Hanover. The Colegio Aleman in Quito offers a school education in German and many of the pupils would like to study in Germany later on. With this in mind, the group was given a guided tour of the Laboratory for Nano and Quantum Engineering. Highlights of the lab tour were the technology in the clean room for micro and nanostructuring and transmission electron microscopy for imaging nanomaterials.
